On New Year's Eve, I was walking to my friend Fullen's house and near her house there is a big old gray brick, very nice looking church. Next to the church is an open grass lot. It is very well maintained. I am thinking it is probably owned by the church. Oh, so, yeah, walking empty lot...and then I see this bluff of fluff, and it appears to be alive way back in the lot. Without hesitation or a thought I start walking towards it. As I get close I realize it is a big old Rabbit. Once I realized it was a rabbit I said, "Oh, hey rabbit," and started walking back towards the sidewalk. Tonight, I was walking the home from Fullen's house and the old gray church was in the next block, and I started to think of the rabbit. I was think whether to a rabbit the term bunny would be offensive, and silly things. I thought there was no way I would see the rabbit, and then there it was on the sidewalk in front of the house next to the old gray church. I think he might have recognized me. He is not easy to scare. Maybe he lives with humans. Today, I walked the blocks. I walked the 13 or 14 blocks to work this morning. Then, I took the bus downtown and walked the 21 or 22 blocks from 5th and Oak to snail's house, then Fullen and I took the bus back to her house with the new/old blue record machine and I walked the 12 or 13 blocks back to my house. Today, I block walked. |
